Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.
The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.
The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.
Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.
My friends told me it will get better. I just have to be patient. Okay, I still believe there’s something in this book. It has high rating on Goodreads. I don’t know. It will get better, just keep reading it. My friends said it gets better each chapter. They must be right, right? I think they were right. It gets better. Oh, apparently Adam immune to Julliette’s touch. He wasn’t what she thought him first. Here comes the antagonist, Warner. He’s an evil. He’s creepy. He’s also swoon worthy. More about Adam and Julliette. Warner wants Julliette. Julliette wants Adam. Adam wants Julliette. They can’t resist each other. Warner said he and Julliette could be a powerful couple. for what?, why the reestablishment wants to take control the civilization, why their world fall apart, why there aren’t animal anymore, why was Julliette never saw a bird fly, why, why, why. Why I didn’t find the answer. It is first of the series, a prequel to the whole story. It supposed to keep you wondering. I need more explanation, if not answers. I thought it is a dystopian book. I didn’t feel it is dystopianmaybe it is a romance or romance dystopian?. It doesn’t matter
It’s only a couple chapters to the end. Julliette keep repeats the same word over and over. It’s overwhelm. It’s over use. I’m bored. I think I know what it is. Yeah, it was just like what I thought. Ok, it’s Professor Xavier’s First Class. The End.
I honestly don’t know why I wrote this. Is this proper enough as a review?Hmm…I don’t think so. But it’s just my thought, my opinion. The point is this story has potential. I’m sure I’m not insane. I just couldn’t connect to the story, to the characters, to the setting. Why, where, when, how. Why I feel like I just wrote Gollum/Smeagol’s mind Julliette’s story? Will I read the sequel? Of course I will. Why? Because of my stupid promise to finish all of books that I read, including series. Unravel Me is already out there to be read. When will I read it? I don’t know when. Maybe soon but not soon enough. Maybe when I have less than 20 books to be read. When? Well my friends…apparently this is not my cup of tea.
